Zipper fins are metal sheets stamped step by step from aluminum or copper sheet material. The secondary stamping process then folds the fins and locks them in place with the previous fin. Continuous connections are created by utilizing special geometric shapes that interlock with themselves. This makes it easier to handle a single zipped entire assembly rather than manipulating multiple individual pieces. When we're going to use a lot of thin fins on a heat sink, it can be a hassle to assemble each individual fin. This is where the advantage of the zipper fin radiator comes in.

Each zipper fin radiator has its own design and is produced with automatic continuous stamping. Zipper fin heat sinks are ideal for high volume applications as the cost of the punch will be spread over fewer heat sinks than other forms of heat sinks.
Zipper fin heat sinks are a great heat transfer solution. Offers broad application and design flexibility. Contact our design engineers for assistance with zip fin heat sink designs.
